Passed away May 2014

My husband, John, and I split our lives between Oregon and Palm Desert, California.  We've raised 2 great kids, Paul & Tawny, and are blessed with 5 perfect grandchildren - Jeremey, Bailey, Joey, Sophie and Grace - whom we adore!  We enjoy traveling, sailing, reading and lots of time with our children and grandchildren.

Grandchildren: Yes! 3 boys and 2 girls

You know, I kinda like that song too,"What a long, strange trip it's been".  Hard to believe that chunk of life is under the bridge.  Blink your eyes and it's gone. I'm looking forward to seeing you all for the first time in 40 years.  Should be a lot of fun.

Forty years have passed amazingly quickly.  It seems like just yesterday that I was trying to sneak into the Open Seas Tavern-maybe it was just last night-I know I was arguing with the bartender to get my AARP discount on a pitcher.

It also seems odd to be communicating with high school friends via a website-I remember struggling with a party line that my “girlfriends” parents shared with “her other boyfriends” parents.  What are the odds of that?  We should all pledge to be “friends” on Facebook - Twitter every thought.

I have been an attorney in Seattle for 33 years; specializing in plaintiffs personal injury cases.  I’ve been married to Deborah Seton-a LOHS class of ’72 graduate for almost 32 years.  Blind date from a law school buddy!

We have 2 children, a son, Travis 24, and a daughter, Wesley 21.  Travis graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara and is currently a second year law student at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.  Wants to be an entertainment lawyer in L.A.. Wesley is a senior at Santa Clara University and is currently applying to law schools in the Bay area.  They both appear to be under the impression that the nation is suffering from a shortage of lawyers.

We try to spend most winters in Palm Desert and enjoy golf and tennis in the desert.   We also boat on Lake Washington and in the San Juan Islands-with as many coerced family trips as tolerated.  Most recent boating adventure was Seafair ’09 with the unlimited hydroplanes.  My son was hauled off the boat in handcuffs-returned an hour or so later saying he was changing his law school emphasis to defending the rights of the wrongfully accused.

I do a little large canvas abstract painting-generates a lot of laughter and ridicule from family and friends.  My “work” is a little Pollockesque-it seems to improve with several cocktails.  Let me know if you want one-takes about 5 minutes.  It’s hell not to have your talent recognized.

Hope to make the reunion-be fun to see everyone.  Much appreciation for all the hard work by organizing group.

Comment: It's been a busy time.  I changed schools and am now principal at James John Elementary in the heart of St. Johns.  It's a wonderful, diverse community with lots of special needs, but that's why I got into education in the first place!

Comment: Thank you for taking the time to put this website together.  I have been out of touch with 1969 LOHS classmates for 20 years...the faces are unfamiliar but the names are remembered like yesterday.   I have been fortunate to live in the Sierra Mountain-Foothills of Northern California. Since leaving LOHS, I graduated from Oregon State University and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Financial Services and several financial designations. I donate time and energy generously to my community...but the moments I cherish many times are the times together  at Lake Oswego High School!
