Comment: Hey everyone.
Wow, 40 years! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion this summer. Those name tags take on more significance as we mature!
Dennis and I have known each other since '71  married '73 and decided enough of this work nonsense-time to do some relaxin and travel a bit more.
So, I retired 2 yrs ago from Adelsheim Vyd in Newberg after 21 years there, the last five spent as Vyd Mgr. I always did like playing in the dirt-this was just on a larger scale. My husband Dennis retired about the same time as superintendant at Christensen Shipyards in Vancouver, WA ( long commute from Yamhill daily) after building mega yachts for about the same amount of years. Our son Izaak is living and chefing in Ptld and is a musician as is Dennis. Our daughter Jessie married a Kiwi and lives in New Zealand. My recent photo was actually taken there in Abel Tasman Nat Pk while on a kayaking trip. We've been spending time there during Oregons winters, as they go through summers in the sun. Nice trade off. Moved this summer from the home we built 30 yrs ago on 10 forested acres near Yamhill. But we didn't go far-still near Yamhill, just smaller scale.
Looking forward to our daughter & son in law coming up this summer for her 10 yr class reunion as well. Party Time...
Take care everyone

Comment: Hi everyone,

Looking forward to the 60th birthday party, which by the way, is actually on MY 60th birthday!  I left the teacher business (which I took up after retiring from HP) as we were offered the opportunity to buy an analytical testing lab in Corvallis last year.  Patty and I are having fun and are VERY  busy running the lab, no recession here.  Guess we don't understand the word "retirement"!  We now have an empty nest but somehow our 3 boys and grandkids find their way over to hang out every weekend.  We'll catch up more on the big B-day party!

Hey,

Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Every 5 years I go with my wife Patty to her very fun class reunions in Iowa (I'm an honorary classmate), so it's about time for one here.   We're having a great life in the coast range forest.  In 2005 I jettisoned out of HP with the golden handshake after 18 yrs, retirement included.  Then got a teaching certificate, and teach science 1/2 time at the local high school.  Also run a private microbiology lab on our property.  Lotsa fun being grandparents,  still 2 boys left in high school.  Having summers off as a teacher is great too.

Peace,

Steve

Comment: I had the opportunity to be one of your Staff Members. You have a great group of people that it will be great to visit with. I dabble in Photo Art and am back at a small private school some friends started where the child asks for what they want to learn. No set Curriculum. I get a chance to assist with some of your school mates in local productions of Landmark Education Courses. Have a great Winter, Mike

I graduated high school class of '69.  A heartbeat and a blink later 50 years have passed! I've missed all the others but planning on attending the 50th!  Blissfully married since right out of high school (didn't realize at the time how the odds were stacked against us but we made it!)  Worked at Microsoft (buyer -- special projects) and Boeing (buyer -- airplane parts) and recently moved back to Oregon to be closer to family.

Hubby and I started the Pacific Crest Trail in 2016 but had to leave due to an injury.  We started at Campo (the California/Mexico border) and planned on ending at the Washington/Canada border...a mere 2650 miles!  Only made 100 miles before taking a rather spectacular fall and face plant, tearing a tendon and injuring my plantar fasciitis.

My beloved other half and I enjoy scuba diving, attending football games, hiking, walking and hosting family gatherings.

Comment: Awesome job, Veva and everyone who has put so much time and effort into trying to find everyone and to coordinate the events. Not an easy task!

It has been so nice to be able to reconnect with others from the past that I would have never been able to find on my own without your efforts so THANK YOU for this wonderful gift. I check back from time to time to find new names, contact information and photos.

It's really been a special time of reconnection and I'm grateful for this in light of the losses we have had in our own family recently - alot of family members with serious illnesses and at young ages...so, I am learning that the time is now to say the words we wish we had not held back; to express the love we feel (genuinely) for another person without hesitation and to seek forgiveness for any wrongdoing we have caused.

Nothing like a 40 year reunion to remind us of these important things in life! :)
Grandchildren: One coming March 1 - a baby girl! Finally. :)
