Comment: I'm living in Starkville with a wonderful woman who is a philosophy professor at Mississippi State University, Yolanda Estes.  I'm still composing music, both electronic and acoustic.  Before settling in Starkville with Yolanda I spent most of my years in the SF Bay Area,( fooling with computers or software to make a living) and later in upper state NY, where I was for a brief time the technical director of the electronic arts department at RPI. Right now my job title is itenerant shakuhachi player/piano-man.

Hi everyone- After two years at the U of O  I went into nursing. I worked in Ophthalmology and General Practice for 8 years. I  lived and worked in Eugene,Chico Ca. and in Miami Florida before moving to Las Vegas and marrying in '76. I was fortunate to not have to work while raising four children until we moved to Reno in '93 and opened our retail business. . I do all the bookeeping and accounting for the business and work at the store when needed. But what I am enjoying the most is watching our new grand-daughter during the week. I am looking forward to the 40 year reunion.(Always did love a party!!!)

See you all soon,

Jan

Well a lot has happened since the reunion.....due to this poor economy we have lost our 17 year family business. We are making the best of it and are hoping that this has all happened for a good reason. Needless to say looking for a job at 58 is rather scary!!

I continue to stay in touch with our classmates through Facebook and trips back to LO for fun get-togethers. Hope all of you are doing well!!

Oh my GOSH!! I can’t believe it has been 50 years! Does this mean I have to act like an adult now? I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone and partying in June. My sister-in-law, Debbie Rustrum Kroodsma and I have a room at the Lakeshore Inn Friday and Saturday. Pre-functions and post-functions in our suite AND at the Opens Seas(Gemini) are on the agenda for Friday and Saturday nights.  Join us!!

See you all soon!

June 2019

I think it takes a little longer to recuperate after the reunions each time we get together. We have such a great class!!! It is always a pleasure seeing everyone.  What a great turnout we had for the 50th and still there were so many that I missed seeing. The committee is busy planning our next time together. I look forward to seeing everyone then.

Comment: Hi to all of you, I am so excited to read the comments made by those who have registered.  It will be great to catch up with each and every one of you in August.

For those that may read this but are on the fence about joining us in August...as Chris Gray said to me at a previous reunion, "It may be the last time we see each other again".  And what a shame it would be to miss the opportunity for shared stories both old and new.

I don't want to miss getting to know you again as a new/old friend!

Fondly,
Barb

Comment:  hi jan, i'm sorry, i really don't have the energy to do much these days... i've been paralyzed from a mountain climbing accident since jan '04, and most recently a series of mini- strokes in the region of my head injury. so all of the catch-up is really too much for me i appreciate you getting in touch with me,but i won't be showing up..

> i hope all of you have a great time... afterall, having left LO in '69, and being out of contact for all this time, it's doubtful anyone will even remember me anyway.

> thanks for thinking of me.

> bud

Jan Kroodsma wrote to Bud and got this reply:
i dont want you to think i'm doing nothing. i'm still trying to keep my artwork going. i remember jane gardner used to compliment me on my work, she's one of the reasons i kept it up... unfortunatrly, all of my earlier work was lost ina housefire in '97 . but my more recent stuff is on a website my boys built for me.

Comment: My husband, Gregg and I moved from Georgia to Indiana 10 years ago.  We have been able to work together and stay married for 19 years!  My son, Max is a Navy Diver traveling the world.  My son, Zan sells VERY expensive imported rugs in Indianapolis.  Both are in long term relationships with great girls, but no marriages yet.  I have 2 step-grandchildren in Denver, Quin & Gracie and those visits allow for frequent ski trips.  Gregg and I are also avid golfers in the warmer months.  I am so excited that this reunion has generated such enthusiasm and participation.  It should be a wonderful time!

I met Mary Jo at OSU, and after graduating we've stayed in Corvallis. We're on the edge of town, enough in the country that our daughter could raise sheep for 4H, but close enough that I can bike to work along the river.

After graduation I worked a brief stint with Bonneville Power Administration, and then self employed for 5 years - selling and installing telemetry/control systems in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. I hated the selling part, but loved getting out, meeting new people and seeing the country. Since then I've been with Hewlett Packard - spent a lot of time designing production systems to make all of those ink jet pens. I've had the opportunity to travel a lot to Europe, Japan and Singapore for work - meeting more people and seeing more of the world (without having to sell anything).

Mary Jo and I have 3 children - ages from 24 to 32. We might miss the reunion; helping our daughter and husband move from an Air Force base back East to his next assignment in Ohio.

If we don't see you; best wishes and have a good time.

I'm only semi-retired. problem with being a landlord. but, all in all, life is good. been married , but that didn't work so I have been in my relationship just over 4 years. i'll probably try it again. been alot of places, but their is nothing like jumping on your Harley and hitting the road. and that vibration in the mirrors and all thru your body when you are stopped at a light-unexplainable to anyone who has never ridden. I'm also into classic hot rods too. got a purple and white '39 chev. maybe if any of you hit the car shows, we can catch up. Oh, and I have a 3 & 1/2 pound teacup yorkie. He is 3 and is my first dog. always had cats. boy, what a difference. but he is a little sweetheart. what else could I name him except Gordy. hope to hear from you guys. life is special and precious, and we need to enjoy every minute. I'm not real good with computers, I will try and stick in a couple of pictures.
