| Comment: Boy, it does NOT seem like 40 years have gone by... I really enjoyed college, participating in a performing group on tour that allowed me to develop my love of music which I have continued through singing, directing and writing. [I find it wonderful that so many of you are also musicians!] I raised 2 children in West Linn, while working in the medical staffing field. Then remarried & moved to West Virginia for several years, running my own medical transcription service and returned to Oregon a couple years ago with the offer of a dream job. It has been very interesting to review all the bios and revisit the past "golden age" at LOHS! | |

| Comment: Hi, all! I'm still living in the country with horses, dogs and kids... teaching "at risk" high schoolers for my 11th year and learning as much as I teach. My first grandchild was born in November - it is as much fun as they say! I try to travel every summer, sometimes with my husband of 34 years, sometimes on my own. Daily life? Work, family, and friends all seem to run together in a small town, but that's part of the charm. A little gardening and a few good books... life is good! | |

| Comment: As of June 2019, happily married to Sue (David Douglas class of '69) for 46 years. We have lived in the same 90-year-old house near Ladds Addition in SE Portland for 30-years. She retired from nursing (Portland Providence Hospital) 4 years ago and I retired from teaching engineering (Mt. Hood Community College) 2 years ago. Sue is an artist and musician and spends time on those hobbies and with family and many friends. I enjoy hanging out with my grandchildren but am still a loner compared to my wife (occasionally in touch with Dave Poole and Bill West from LOHS'69). I still go skiing and hiking (no more mountain climbing!), still lift weights (no more running!), and still teach 2 engineering classes per year (no more consulting!). "New" activities are surfing (most of the breaks in Oregon, plus a few in central California and Oahu) and translating written Japanese into English (halfway through a third book). Have traveled to Canada, Japan, Switzerland and France (this year it will be England). | |

My husband Jim and I have been married for 35 years. We moved to the Lorane area the day after the wedding! We have three beautiful daughters, a six year old grand-daughter, four year old twin grand-sons and a new grandchild due in September. We own the commercial real estate company, McNutt Group in Eugene. I also teach, create and sell fused glass at my studio in Lorane. When I look back at my LOHS days I am always grateful for Mr. Clark, our art teacher. He inspired me to be creative while teaching pottery and jewelry. The latter allowing me to open my first jewelry store at Janzten Beach Center at 21. It is because of great teachers like him that I volunteer in the local schools teaching art. Mr. Clark taught me that if you excell at one thing everything else becomes easier. So, thank you Mr. Clark! |

Met my husband at OSU - it was your typical flower child meets Marine Officer and rides off into the sunset for Okinawa. He was killed on active duty in 1984, shortly after the Beirut bombing. At the time we were living in Fredericksburg, VA. Although I love the East Coast, I packed up the mini van and dragged the kids back to L.O. where they could roam my old turf. The three youngest graduated from L.O. - one was a cheerleader & May Fete princess; one played football and LaCrosse, and was capt. of the wresting team; one majored in skipping school. Who says you can't go home again? |
