I graduated high school class of '69. A heartbeat and a blink later 50 years have passed! I've missed all the others but planning on attending the 50th! Blissfully married since right out of high school (didn't realize at the time how the odds were stacked against us but we made it!) Worked at Microsoft (buyer -- special projects) and Boeing (buyer -- airplane parts) and recently moved back to Oregon to be closer to family.

Hubby and I started the Pacific Crest Trail in 2016 but had to leave due to an injury. We started at Campo (the California/Mexico border) and planned on ending at the Washington/Canada border...a mere 2650 miles! Only made 100 miles before taking a rather spectacular fall and face plant, tearing a tendon and injuring my plantar fasciitis.

My beloved other half and I enjoy scuba diving, attending football games, hiking, walking and hosting family gatherings.

From Kim:Awesome job, Veva and everyone who has put so much time and effort into trying to find everyone and to coordinate the events. Not an easy task!

It has been so nice to be able to reconnect with others from the past that I would have never been able to find on my own without your efforts so THANK YOU for this wonderful gift. I check back from time to time to find new names, contact information and photos.

It's really been a special time of reconnection and I'm grateful for this in light of the losses we have had in our own family recently - alot of family members with serious illnesses and at young ages...so, I am learning that the time is now to say the words we wish we had not held back; to express the love we feel (genuinely) for another person without hesitation and to seek forgiveness for any wrongdoing we have caused.

Nothing like a 40 year reunion to remind us of these important things in life! :)

From Kathy:I am almost retired now. I now have 5 grandchildren and 2 dogs. Still with my best friend John after 48 years! I live outside of Canby on 1.5 acres with lots of gardening to do.
I am an avid quilter and still downhill ski.
I root for my favorite team- GO BEAVS! We had season tickets for many years.
My two daughters live in Oregon and my son lives in Nevada near heavenly Valley ski resort.
I hope to have many new adventures next year when I am finally retired.

Several years ago I traded the Rose City for the Emerald City. I'm happy to be able to be close to my grandkids and enjoy exploring the beautiful state of Washington. Lots of volunteer opportunities here for causes I care about too.

Sorry to miss the big reunion, but a holiday in Europe was already in the works. I'll be in Norway on the 22nd and will raise my glass of aquavit to the Class of 69.

From Tess:Since high school I've moved around, landing in Washington, California and Massachusetts, finally settling in Santa Barbara, California with my husband Jon, and children. Our son Jesse is 24 and living in Wisconsin. Hannah is a sunny, funny 14 year old at home with us. Work is 100 miles away at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, where I stay a few days a week. We miss the Northwest, so we head back to Puget Sound every summer for a few weeks. My other home away from home is a cabin in the high Sierras. The "now picture" shows me with one of the Sierra neighbors. I'm looking forward to the reunion!
