Fantastic to see LOHS alumni with the face-to-face ("then and now") reunion in August. Moving away has meant that I am only three miles away from where I grew up. I've been able to see the neighborhood grow and change. Thrilled to find the love of my life later in life and add more children to the clan. Also, very fortunate to love what I do and be at Nike for nearly 25 years.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. In talking to some of you I've found quite a few that don't recall their high school experience fondly. We all have seen a bit of life by now. I hope everyone has a couple of friends from that time in their life that they would like to reconnect with. I bet some of us are allot more interesting now then we were as adolescents. Please do all you can to share what information you have on our missing classmates.
I have survived 3 years in the Army, 5 years of higher education, 15 years as a Manager in a local plastics company, 30 years as an Electrician, the death of my first wife from cancer after 22 good years together, life as a single Dad for 5 years, midlife dating, I have been happily remarried for 9 years now. My daughter graduated from MIT as a Chemical Engineer 2 years ago. I retired last year. Hope to see you at the reunion but if you can't make it, please sign in so we can keep in touch.

I have been retired from the beauty salon business for about 2 years and become involved in local land use politics. There are legislators in the State House who run when they see me comming. (They fear the wrath of the mighty and the menopausal, as well they should.)I have no children but I am devoted to my nieces and nephews, 3 of whom are serving in the middle east as Marines. (I knew we should have had them neutered when they were born, it would have saved the family much grief.) But we are really proud of the little brats. Helping to plan the big 40 year reunion was Veva's idea. She thinks that because I am retired, I needed more to keep me busy. I have to say, that so far it has been really fun. Especially the part where we have cocktails at every bar in town just to see if it was good enough for my classmates. Hope to see you all at the reunion. |

Thanks to the planning committee for a super job. It was fun to visit with old friends.I met my husband, Gordon, at Oregon State. We married in 6/74. My degree was in General Science, his was in Agriculture and he grew up farming. He is still "outstanding in his field" with his own farm drainage business since 1977. We live fairly close to where the Santiam River flows into the Willamette. We do like living in the country and raised our three children here. Son Noah, 25, has an OSU Ag degree from EOU, Heather, almost 28, graduated from Truinity Western University in Langley, B.C. as did Caleb, 22. Daughter Heather and her husband work at Black Forest Academy in Germany. They just gave us our first grandchild at the end of May. Noah and Caleb are working with Dad for now. Handy for them and for him! I worked for the State for seven years then stayed home for seven to start our family. I did some part time work at our church to be available to our kids as they attended school there. The kids are long gone but I am still there, full time. It is a good place to be. Gordon and I love to travel, go to all OSU home football games (it was worth the wait!) and I go hiking when I get the chance. Hiking in the Alps in June was a dream come true! |

Hi All! How fun it has been to read about all of your lifes journey's through the years! It's surprising to see how many of you ended up following the sun! My family moved around LO so many times growing up, 13 times in 9 years, I made lots of short~term friendships along the way & alot of great memories! (Most at Lakewood Elementary & LOJHS). My parents last move took us to West Linn, where I still reside with my "High School Sweetheart" Kip Macom. (40 yrs later). We have 3 FABULOUS busy Kids & 7 busy Grandkids. We've done some traveling, but most of the time your'll find us at our Real Estate office on Hwy 43 "Westlake Properties" in West Linn. Last year we enjoyed the LOHS class of '68 reunion so much! It was really fun to connect with all of the "OLDER" Classmates. I would love the opportunity to see you all at the Class Reunion 69! I hope I'll be able to attend. My Best to everyone & Stay safe in your travels. Molly Holden~Macom

Hello Everyone
It has been 40 years since I have seen many of you. In 1972 I joined the Lake Oswego Police Department where I served for twenty eight years. I retired in 2000 as a detective and moved to Silver Springs, Nevada, where I built a house and lived on five acres near Lake Lahonton. I had three daughters and seven grand kids and most recently our first great grandson. For the moment I live in Tigard. I hope to Find Judi Kamhoot. I hope she is well. My best everyone Harry

![]() ![]() After graduating I was stunned to realize that plan A, a full ride on a football scholarship with an eventual long and storied career in the NFL, wasn't panning out. Could I have misread the situation? Could my inability to beat out Eddie Callahan or Bob McNeilly in the LO backfield been a signal? Whatever the case I went with plan B, let the fates decide, and it worked beautifully. After being assigned Louie Mogabgab as my roomie at U of O, I got a Journalism degree, met my best friend and wife of 35 years Valerie, went to work at The Oregonian where I am still employed as the Marketing Services Director and raised two wonderful daughters: Nicole 30 and Natalie 24. Looking forward to getting together. Also, thousands of kudos to the team of folks putting this all together. Extremely impressive work. |
